Springs: WARNING
 

Yesterday my little package came in from QFM. Yes at last stuff to play with. The first thing I started looking at was the spring suspention. I spent 20 minutes clipping them to the right height and inserted them onto the shaft.

Oh god I was happy... then I dropped the Bit and springs being springy the sprung.

20 minutes of enjoyment and now one of my springs has decided to hide somewhere in my room.

So a warning to people buying springs. SUPERGLUE THESE TO YOU FINGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

This post is useless I know but I feel like complaining. Now I shall be sad and depressed.

did you buy the mini springs from QFM? they probably get theres from some pens. I was lookin through some pens for some heads to make some mufflers and i thought i would take the springs out, and in about 3 of the pens and each pen had maybe 3 on it (if cut).

The springs from pen are too big.

We have old mice in the office and I will take one apart to see if I can use them ;-)

pen springs are usually magnetic though. i tried looking for some springs in my pens but none of them werent magnetic. too bad, i wanted to do the spring mod but dont want to spend $2 plus shipping for the springs at QFM
