Got track?!?!

So I have been away from the boards a bit, well, there is good reason for that! I have upgraded, and soon will be racing Miniz. So I had to build a track for it too! Thought you guys would like to check it out though!!

Wow!

I guess you have a lot of spare time... That is one fine track. What is the width of the track? It almost look sa little bit too narrow for Mini-Z, but what do I know I don't even own one.
My ZipZaps track is using one of those 4x8 particle borads, talk about difference. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Epoch Inddor racer thou.

Continue the nice work!

Awesome job latency! What is the lane width? What is the surface? Post this over at http://mini-zracer.com (our sister site) - I'll see you there!

Funny you should say that Tiny!

...as I had just previously posted a link over on that site. I had no idea you were affiliated!

The tracks lane width is 20". I figured that with the miniz being something like 3.5 inches wide, that would make for a nice challening width! :D

I still have tons more to do on the track, lighting, finish the guardrails, etc....so I will post some more when I get farther along!!

:D

Great looking track

I was so impressed that I called my wife over to look, and the first words out of her mouth were " You're not doing that. ":(

My wife about died when she saw it. She told her friends she thought I was building a deck in our basement, thats when I told her, "No honey, it is a RACE TRACK!". She puts up with a lot. :D

Wow.... Awesome job. All I can say is, what time should I be there? I'll bring the snacks.... Too bad you don't live close to me, or actually if you lived close to me, then I'd never go home or to work.... LOL

Latency!!! say it ain't so man... tell me you are not leaving the Micro's behind!

hehe oh yea that is a sweet track. I don't have the room in my apartment to build something like that..

Is it modular? or just stuck there in place? Although given the size it would be a pain to move. but once again you have done a great job.

StinkBug 11-18-2002 07:00 PM

Dude you have waaaaay too much time on your hands. I think a sweet next step would be to add hills and maybe a cross over section with a bridge, not that you haven't done way too much already.

Time....

...hehe...you guys keep mentioning time. My wife is pregnant, I am on call 24x7 for work (IT geek) and I have wayyy too many hobbies like computers, motorcycles, paintball, rc, skiing...time, I honestly do not have much of...oh yeah, did I mention the addiction to SOF II?

What you don't understand is, I am a firm believer in the fact that sleep is overrated. I dive into coffee in the mornings by the pot. When all of the sane people out there are sleeping, I am down in my basement building a model track at 3:35am on a Sunday morning (Monday really) and trying to finish so I can at least get 4 hours of sleep. :D

If my calculations are correct, if I live to be old, very old, and I average 8 hours of sleep per night, I will have slept 33 years of my life away, and for what?? With the invention of caffeine and REDBULL, sleep is a thing of the past!
:D :D

sessiz10 11-18-2002 11:55 PM

Preach brother!!!!!
I average 4-5 hours sleep per night and I haven't gotten sick yet.
