Desktop Rover
 

Does anyone else have one of these Desktop Rover tanks ? They are really fun just to drive around on your desk especially if you have lots of junk to conquer. I'm curious if anyone has two, as it's got a built-in laser tag game but I've never been able to try it since I only have one.

i saw some people do a lazer tag demo at a mall once.... it's pretty cool... and they demonstrated that small camera thing and made it go into an empty room....
anyways, laser tag was pretty cool.... seems like a real "war" :p u got two tanks chasing each other and the tank getting chased is trying to position itself to fire, but the other tank's hot on it's tail... looks fun, but i haven't tried it....

Yep, I have the cam too - but it's in a Mini-Z now!

Are you going to stock any tanks, and if so how much will they cost?

I have the desktop rover too, found one at a great price!! But, it's the older model that doesn't have laser tag built in.

Tons of fun, I take it to Mini-Z practice at the LHS and drive over everyone's cars when they're working on them in the pits LOL

About how fast are they? I know it is not very fast but is it more than just a crawl?

Not very fast at all, they are geared for climbing rather than speed. A 1.0 BC-G will outrun them.

They are $59.99 when you buy them direct. They are even more fun with 2 (laser tag!) or with the telecommander kit (PC control!).

That camera would be sweet, moveable spy cam.....

Did they say when that receiver was going to be available?....I could use that in my 1/87 scale table top truck trials truck...:)
