My Battery Died...
Any idea why the NiMH battery I got died. It's been about a month now.
|
Died as in no longer holds a charge after being charged? Or charge doesnt last as long as it did when I first got it? Is it being used in conjunction with a dual cell mod? How long or how many consecutive charges have you been charging it for?
|
Yea, it no longer holds a charge. It is not in a dual cell mod. I usually just charge it twice for about 90 seconds.

Wow. We really dont have any idea why it died. This is the first time we have encountered that. Perhaps you were the first ever to completely deplete a NiMH cell, though I highly doubt that, as you would have to have put some heavy use to it. Perhaps you are using a custom charger? We had one incident where someone was asking about a sizzling cracking sound when charging and they had actaully wired the charger wrong and had the terminals inm reverse. They were cooking the battery!

My 150 mAh NiMH battery died too!!!
I also bought a 150 mAh battery from QFM that not only died but started to corrode inside my bit. I thought I had caught it in time but it did damage the possitive battery well. I have emailed QFM twice over the last few weeks and included the order # straight from the paypal receipt but I get no response from QFM. What gives! Anyone else having difficulty getting a response from these guys? My email address is:

It corroded your Bit? Hmm. Thats a first. Do you have a 2.4v mod set-up, or is it a stock car? Is it possible moisture got into the car? In any case, send it back to the address listed on the website, and we'll gladly exchange for a new one, or any other cell we carry. be sure to include a short note detailing reason for your return, and your email and return address. Thanks.
QFM PS Has anyone else experienced the corrosion effect? |
