4 cell zz
i was wonderin if anyone knows how many cells the zz can handle b/c i was thinkin of putting 4 cells in it
|
it's not the cells, but the voltage...I've heard it could potentially take 12 volts, and I've seen them run on 9volts, but umm...don't you want to able to drive it?
|
so i could run 2 batts at 2.8 volts thru my board and motor in my zip and it wouldnt hurt it?
|
yup thats a dual batt mod check the zz faq for details!
|
im goin 2 use the 4 cells in my drag zz. ill put 3 in the car and 1 in the back. ill win all my school races that way!! hehe:D

no one else knows how ta solder so ill probly be the one with the 5 bat then the 6 bat then the 7 bat then ill be broke but hey its worth it
|
but then someone will buy about 60 1.5 alkaline calculator batterys that he got on sale for 27 cents each that are about 1/12 the size of the zip batt. an weigh about 1 gram
then stick about 6 of em in there, make a lil cash money bet on a drag race, an walk away with some xash money in his pocket |
yeah but then i will tell my mom
come on guys be real |
... actually, my drag-racing battery packs are made of 4 1.5v watch batteries...
:) |
really u could fit 6 bats in?
|
actually if i took the zip batt. out of the chasis
i could fit around 15-20 of the little battery's i bought in it wouldnt last long but i jus need em for one run |
How do you guys even get any traction using 2 or more batteries? I mean, I have dual bat zip and I have a green motor in it. Damn thing goes so fast it cant even go straight off the line. Goes in circles. At least on lynoleum it does. Carpet is another story. And one turn to the left or right sends it flippin.
|
i have no problem i use a 3.0 w/blue gears. soft bit fronts and stock zz backs
|
many many secrets to traction action
an i know alot of em *evilgrin* |
