i took off the criple capasiter on the pbc board or whatever on the car....
and i looked on both sides of the controler and could not find a crip.

i did an entena upgrade and i still only have about 10' range

On the car or the controller? Putting a solid antenna on the controller should make a difference.

I have a bit char g skyline so I am not sure but mine lacked the capacitor on the car's pcb and I did the car antenna mod and transmitter capacitor mod and got the usual 20-25 feet. I am thinking that your car might have the capacitor on the car pcb since the cars differ very little otherwise.

i took the one off the pcb i am trying to get my mom the take me somewere to get an entena for my controler....how long should it be?

Well radio shack sells assorted sizes. Pretty much the longer the better but what ever size is a good compromise for you between long enough to function and too long for you to look at.

When I want good range I usually use one of our 150.00 contollers for my rc boats. You great awesome range. But I ahve never tried it outdoors so I have not seen its limit yet.
