Lets see those Radio Shack tracks!
Im pissed. I built a great track using 3 boxes of radio shack zipzap track. I lost the design becuase instead of sliding the track over in order to vacuum under it, i tried moving it a little section at a time and it fell apart.
Since the radio shack tracks are easy to reproduce by looking at a pic, I thought this would be a good place for you guys to post if you have built one. Please post only radio shack tracks. There are tons of other "track" threads but I dont think there is one specifically for the ZZ tracks. Oh, and please state how many boxes you used so someone doesnt try to build it with 1 box and realize that it cant be completed half way thru. Thanks PS. I dont have pic of mine. If I did, I would not be posting this :-) |
I've got two sets and my 1yr old wreaked it before I even got my car on it. I am very interested in seeing what others have come up with.

I am building a track using 2 zipzap kits and some other misc. materials....it is about 80% done and it looks awesome...I will have pics up in a week or so hopefully (no digi-cam so I gotta develop 35mm and then scan em....)

1 track set is not enough. You can make more than the oval with 1 set however they are very small 1 lane tracks.
Look at these! |
1 box of track.

I started making this track a while ago and have finished it up except for some cosmetic enhancements I want to do but time has been short lately. I finally got around to uploading these pics, so enjoy.....
Track is 2 2x3 foot pieces of panelling I found at Menards (I am using the back of the panelling) Grey walls are 2 sets of the Zipzaps barrier set. Black walls are balsa wood painted black. Grass is green felt... The track is too small for fast motors, but I have found the red motor in a zizzap with red gears is the ideal setup. For my bits, the 1.0 is too slow and the 2.2 too fast so I will eventually buy a 1.6. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...4/fd025d08.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...3/fd025d0a.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...c/fd025d0e.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/fd025d12.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...0/fd025d15.jpg |
