but the trick is to buy the box and then just use Linux - otherwise, you're putting your money right into the Devil's pocket... :-) Linux: The Ultimate Service Pack for Windows |
Don't listen to him. Nice job on the decal, but FreeBSD owns Linux. ;)

Nice 1!
I'm in the XBOX LIVE BETA program right now, and I would LOVE some logos for my FF Eclipse! I gave my GF my blue Civic and put some sweet Hello Kitty stickers on it (she LUVs Sanrio). I'm thinking of turning my Black Civic into a Badtz Maru lowrider...pics to follow when I pull this off!

You Linux zealots never make any sense to me. Linux: For when no other operating system can cure your burning desire to spend 9 hours wading through FAQ's and scripts just to do something you could have done in any other operating system with 3 clicks of a mouse and no grepping of tarballs. |
BLACK XBOX LIVE CIVIC

I have decided to ditch my Badtz Maru idea and make my Black Civic an XBOX LIVE Zip! Check out the attached file.

I take offense to being referred to as a "poor sap". I dislike the shady monopolizing business practices of M$ as much as the next guy, but I use their products on my pc so I can't exactly bash the hell out of them. I respect the fact that you're a Linux fan, but don't talk down to those of us who don't chose to go that route.
I have been a console gamer since the early 80's (I'm 27 now) when I first got my hands on my uncle's old pong system. I grew up playing Atari, Colecovision, Sega, Nintendo, etc. I know what makes a good gaming system, and despite what PS2 fanboys and the rest of the M$-hating bandwagon have to say the XBOX is a great console. XBOX online is not a new concept for console gaming, but M$ has the resources and the dedication to their product to make it work. Paying $50 for a full year of online gaming service on the most powerful gaming console does not make me a sap. |
Lets think about this...Microsoft is rediculous in its XBOX. the controller is ported through a serial port, and everyone knows that has the most delay, compared to the USB/Firewire or Playstation proprietary port. Kind of like driving your ZZ or Bit and pressing the gas then waiting for the reaction, sure it is hardly noticeable, but it is there, and any true gamer notices it.
My $0.02 is if you want really good graphics, BUY A PC. You get more options, better control, and more power. Run your favorite OS. Who wants a controller with about 10 buttons? I like my mouse (5 programmable buttons) and my keyboard ~105 buttons of fun. I remember when Half life came out for PS2, and they played it online...you could play against computer based players...that was a huge joke, and half life for PS2 was then a horrible idea. Whats next? WarCraft 3 for PS2/XBOX/GC? hahaha bring it console man! By the way...I'm a hardcore Linux/Red Hat geek. FreeBSD is fun as well...Windows is my job. Mac is also looking very enticing running over OpenBSD (i think it maybe NetBSD...too many BSD's). |
This thread is not a Xbox is bad or good thread! ok, stick to the subject header!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
