What does the gyro unit do?
 
i was just wondering what does the gyro do? and how much is it?

you could call it "power steering" for your tiny rc :) .. i don't have one in stock yet, price is unknown 2 me at the moment

Hi there!
This is what it does in slowmotion. No input was given to the transmitter.
Basically it will keep the steering aimed to the global direction, so say your rear tires loose traction and the chassis come to an angle, this will countersteer for you faster than humanely possible:) Very cool, and really impressive having the car stable like if it was following a rail on low traction surfaces (wood, tiles).

so this gyro thing basically stables the car and, the handling will be better? is that right? does anyone knows the price of the gyro though?thanks for the video fovea3d =]

The handling will be better.
On slippery surfaces, the self-centering effect is obvious, the rear end just returns by itself on the path :) It is less noticeable on RCP or carpet, even through it will be active. You just "feel" that your car is more stable than the others ;)
On this video, my Murcielago has the X-speed, giro and the rear tires are foam.
I could give full throttle on this carpet and it would stay on line, unlike the other cars.
I paid 3400y for the giro direct from Japan last year. No idea of the price now sorry.
