Running out of Zips?
 

Was in to a RS today looking for a replacement remote and did the normal asking of "whats new". Well it could be empty shelves of ZZ! :eek:

Saw some where else that RS is running out of product. Its not a shipping but plain out of product! I know RS, if true, would love that! :) Esp if they can get more cars just before xmas.

Any one else confirm this?

Looks like this is, not just the hot toy, but the main hot xmas product for this season!

i talked to the manager at the local RS and he said that there was a massive shipment still on a boat off the coast of california waiting to be offloaded... the strike has a lot to do with them being impossible to find

I did not see a single ZZ at my local radioshack yesterday.

It was scarce like around two weeks ago too, I only saw like around 20 ZZ kits (mixed; accesories, etc.)

i heard that the actual shipments werent large in quantity....
the guy showed me the boxes of them...he had about 48 in i think 4 boxes...said thats how many they get at a time...

The radio shack inTGraverse city michigan, was completely out. the sales person told me that all the zips but the blue one I bought yesterday was reserived and allso the oens that would come in, is reserved too. LOL So I am lucky :)

Out of 3 RS here in Sioux Falls SD, all sold out except 1, because most don't know it there.
Out of accesories too.

Having worked at Radio Shack in the past, I can tell you that they NEVER keep the "good stuff" in stock. As a commissioned salesperson, it was very frustrating to know that your salary was limited by the availability of products.

When I got my ZZ, I had to pre-pay a couple of days before the order arrived and then wait 45 minutes while they unpacked the shipment to find it. Even then, the only option I had was the Mustang. Better than the PT Cruiser, but still...

Even online, the results are sketchy. I ordered a black Civic and yellow Mustang (the Civic being impossible to find in stores) a couple of days ago.

Turns out the Mustang was out of stock, regardless of what the web site indicated. So the Civic is on its way.

I mentioned how popular the ZipZaps seemed to be - she said "you wouldn't believe it - people are getting bad personalities over this!"

So your best bet is to call the order line directly!

Same deal in my neck of the woods. The strike is killing everyone. me and a buddy drove around for two hours last weekend looking for a FNF kit for his car. We finally found a store that had just one left and he got it.

Heck, I got mine on the night they came out and I got the last one at the store I went to.

I stopped by a RS near me that just opened a few weeks ago. She said they got a shipment in Monday and sold EVERYTHING that day!

well i live in pittsburgh which has 20-30 radiohuts. i was in 2 or 3 of them yesterday and most had a few zzs left. i bought my old lady's brother a red porsch for his birthday and all they had were red porsches and purple pootytootie cruisers. i shoulda got him the pt that woulda been funny. anyhow nobody has the fastand furiouskit. oh well i gave my money to hotwheels for a kit racer.
