I recently aquired a Dnano is a trade (battery charger and TX). Probably one of the better trades I've made in a while (TC3 electric RTR that I had about $100.00 in). This guy never ran it on RCP so he didn't know what he had. It's not that impresive around the house.

Any way the I run PN 8's on my rear and PN 20's on the front of my MR02. Any suggestions for my Dnano Skyline. Ebay has quite a few tires for sale not sure which are the fronts and rear. If I had to guess logic would tell me the ones with F are front and R are rear. I guess I could ask the seller. The stock tires seem to work pretty good. My only complaint is my rear end hopps around corners. I wonder if a harder tire would help. Maybe if I lower the front end a bit?

The DNT001 FA’s are for the larger18F and 19F front wheels.

The DNT002 FRA’s are for the 17FR's.

The DNT003 RA’s are for the larger rear wheels.

The softer DNT001’s seem to be sold out or maybe since the softer DNT002’s seem to work on all the front wheels Kyosho might have decided they weren’t necessary.

Does your car have ball bearings? Even with the stock tires the hopping was not nearly as noticeable once I added them.

I also use a couple light pieces of foam between the motor mount and body and motor mount and chassis as a damper, simple cheap and very effective.

Awesome idea for a damper. I'm going to try that myself. I too noticed the hopping decrease once I had the bearings and gyro. Thanks for the foam tip!

Thanks for the info LBRC. I don't know anyone in my area with a Dnano. Sure would be cool to race! Maybe they will have a class for them at one of the regional events. I guess they would have to count laps manually for now?

So there are differently sized wheel's on the Dnano? Is this mm's in diameter or widths? Wondering what size's are the Murcielago's and 360.

The mm was a mistake I meant to put F and FR for the size 17’s to avoid confusion, have corrected it.

Both your Murcielago and Modena use 18F’s and 19R’s. Not sure exactly what the numbers are suppose to represents it appears to be something like diameter + 4 millimeters (+3 if you measure the lip), but yes the diameters are definitely different. If you look at the photos of your 18F front wheels and 19R rear wheels compared to photos of the 18F and 20R’s on an Enzo, Mazda, or Porsche 962 you can clearly see that the 20R’s are taller.

18F’s are:
13mm tall, 12 inside the lip.
4.5mm wide, 4mm inside the lip.

Your 19R’s should be:
14mm tall, 13 inside the lip.
6mm wide, 5.5 inside the lip.

20R’s are:
15mm tall, 14 inside the lip
6mm wide, 5.5 inside the lip

17FR’s will be:
12mm tall, 11 inside the lip

However I’m not sure what the exact “FR” width is, my best guess is 5mm which is why softer DNT002 tires stretch nicely over the taller 18F’s wheels becoming narrower as they stretch that extra 1mm, and consequentially why there are no soft compound DNT001’s since the soft DNT002’s stay on better.

Your chart is a good reference but if you have not stumbled upon the following document, it is a must have for dNano owners. Finally all parts explained in English and to scale!!!

At first read it looks like they mean translate direct to mm but when you read the note it makes it clear that they are relative scales to actual inch diameters of 1:1 scale wheels.

NOTE: Kyosho is making regular revisions to this doc so if the URL doesn't load, try incrementing the "L_" number. The last one I had was L_2.

Great link, so that’s why the old FX-101 chart link stopped working it’s been updated cool.

Well that explains it; the 17, 18, 19 and 20 correspond to scale inches. And according to the chart the FR-s are 3.5 mm wide, and that all of the softer front tires are indeed DNT001 FR’s.

So question is, can I put the Enzo's 20mm wheel's on my Lamborghini or 360 for that inch-up look, or are the offset's different? Offset same or different with each model? I never noticed that the wheel's were different diameter between the Murcielago and Modena. I'll have to do some wheel swapping and see. Alway's loved inch-up's.

All the offsets are the same so as long as there’s room in the wheel well, yes you can.

The wheel diameters on your Murcielago and Modena are the same both 18F and 19R.

Oh okay so no change by swapping those two. But you said the Enzo is 20, is that front and rear? I bet 20's would look killer on either M's. Actually, I wonder if you'd even notice the difference on something that small. We're only talking about what mm's maybe? So I guess it wouldn't be an inch-up would it, more like a mm-up.
