transmission problem
 
i keep chewing up mainshaft bushings,in my micro baja. any help would be great.

Hey bro, try putting sum type of sealent (jb kwik weld reccomended) put sum on the driveshafts lockin evrything togethr, i just did it and it works great!!!!!

So when the bushing gets worn out the spur gear becomes wobbly? The fix is buying an aluminum gearbox. Most preferably 3r brand. Instead of the bushing it uses a bearing. This will not wear down much at all and increase your runtime a bit. Read on microtforum.com. everyone who has had this problem turns to that gear housing. You will need to read how to shim the diff gear or watch this vid. It tightens the gears so they dont strip. To big of a wire or washer and it will bind up.
