Lemo Solar motor???
Hi,
I'm new to the TTTT scene and i am interested in building my first truck. I have gone out and bought a 1/72 scale truck, (I know that it is not the normal 1/87) it is a German Opal Blitz by Heller, It looks like a good model to start with and has plenty of room in the back. But I am having trouble getting hold of a 'Lemo-Solar motor'. I really would like to use one of those engines, despite the high cost, but i dont know how! I have emailed the "www.lemo-solar.de" site that sells them but i got a answer back in German that says"the transmission motor best. -Nr.MCM1813 we have not in the delivery program, With kind regards" so I do not know if this means i cant get one? If i had that motor i would be fine with the rest of the electrical stuff....except maybe for the receiver. Does anyone else have this motor in the Western side of the world? I am from Australia, which makes it very hard to get any of this stuff! I would appreciate any help given on these cars and where to get things, Oh Yeah...where do i get those tiny batteries? I have 1 old one from a bit charge car.... but i think i need 4? Thanks heaps, Liam |
Hi Liam,
I am happy to read from just another one, who is infected by th TTTT-virus:-) If I undestand right, you are looking for the "Lemo-Solar"-motor thats is right for the driveline??? Just take a look at the webpage of LEMO-Solar (www.lemo-solar.de) . There you will find the "Truck Trial - Antrieb für M 1:87 (Bausatz)" and it costs 29,90Euro. If this one is the right one, the order number is "MC 195". I think your number was wrong??? Small batterys, I prefer LIPO-cell. One of them is good for 1h TTTT-fun and they are very small (in this case 3.6V are enough for the car) . You can get them at www.1zu87modellbau.de. there are also spare-batteries to use in a bit-racer availible. best regards Thorsten www.mikromodell.de |
Hi,
Thanks for replying! no one else did... Well, i have some bad news :( I got a reply from www.Lemo-Solar.de but i got a horrible reply! The motor is, for me, 25euros because i don't get the European sales tax... but they told me that postage was an extra 29euros! So now i can no longer afford to build this car, and i wont have time to do it next year as the army won't allow me this time to... allwell, one day |
Hi Liam,
maybe there is another solution for your problem. On the German ebay site there are right now 4 of these motors for sale. Have a look on ebay.de and search for those article numbers: 190170318433 190170320598 190170322571 190170324825 But hurry up, the auctions will end on Sunday! I have no idea if the german seller would ship also to Down Under but maybe it's worth trying? Hope that helps! Regards, Jochen |
Well, thanks for the help...but I got a reply from the German eBay seller saying that he won't post to Australia... Well, I emailed Escap, which is the maker of the motor, but i am still waiting for a reply.
Don't worry about it, maybe next year i could get one (as I have finished school! YAY! and am going for a stint in the army) Thanks for your help |
Hi Asimo,
well, Escap is the manufactor. But the price is a little bit more expensive as LEMO, because LEMO sells class-b motors. I our case, it is no problem to use motors with 55mA instead of 50mA or motors without a perfect body. The class-a motors from escap are used for example in medicine technic and so the price is higher. Just take a look at the solutions by http://www.1zu87modellbau.de/ or http://www.mikromodellbau.de/ If I am right, they ship also to "Down Under". best regards Thorsten www.mikromdoell.de |
