Different Bits

In the shop they appear to be a few kind of bit char-g's varying in price.

I have found a bit about the motorcycle one, but some cars are 16.99 and others 39.99. Some are pre built.

So which should I get and why?

Thanks,

butler, the less expensive ones are made by a different company, licensing Tomy's technology, so they can sell them cheaper. In addition, they are slightly different internally. They are faster and have better range, but are not compatible with every Tomy hop-up. The mid-priced ones are standard BC-Gs, and then the more expensive have upgraded motors etc. The pre-built/not isn't really a big deal, you just have to put tires on, snap axles in, snap the body on, etc. So, if you want to start with a less expensive one, go for a bullet, if you want to start out with a somewhat hopped up car, go for a Special Edition Skyline, and if you want to start in between, go for a regular BC-G.

Thanks Tinyrc,

I shall probably do the same has Mondo, but I fancy a motorbike too. I am intending on ordering some mini-zracer.com stuff soon. I think in the short term I will buy a bit char locally and get a bike with my mini-z order in the future.

Thanks again thats quite a good trilogy of websites you have now with yourmicro.com too

Nice work.

Is the normal Bit Char fully proportional?

ViperKid 07-10-2002 08:38 AM

nope, sorry. it is simple forwards, backwards, left, and right

btlmr 07-10-2002 09:21 AM

On/off type steering and acceleration?

ViperKid 07-10-2002 09:49 AM

yep, the there are just bottons on the Tx for forward, backwards, ect.. no proportion what so ever.

oh :(

oh well mines arrives tomorrow, hope its still driveable.

ViperKid 07-10-2002 11:00 AM

they are very fun. you can control the way you drive it by taping on the bottons. like ,for instance, when you turn instead of holding the botton down simply tap on it and it will make a nice turn. they are very easy to drive once you get the hang of it. still not as controlable as mini-zs but what is?;)

I look forward to getting mine soon:)

Bitty is here

Yep got it and its brilliant.

I can see that you don't really need proportional steering on these. I will post some pics soon. Gotta mod it first though....:D
