Depending on where you are located, Tiger Direct has a great Ultra Charger and battery pack on sale. 850mAh AAA's better then the standard 700mAh.

wal mart carries 1000mah batteries for 10 bucks

In Canada we have the Battery Shop in the malls. Usually in center of a hallway. Not sure if you have them in the US but they have 920 mAh as well.

Watch the Wally-mart batteries I believe you can only charge them 500 times compared to others that can be charged 1000 times.

i know you said you didnt wanna buy online... but i picked up some 1200 mAh batteries for 22 dollars with shipping and insurance... 12 of them... and they last a good long time... check for them on ebay... just search "1200 mAh aaa"

If you do decide to purchase online, you might consider Lithium Poly's. They charge in about an hour, and make your Xmods insanely fast. I got a LiPo pack and a charger for 29.00 plus shipping on ebay. It made a huge difference. It makes my car go so fast, I can barely control it.

You will need to tear your car apart and do some soldering though, but it's pretty easy.

well, you could get fuji 1000mah cells for roughly .51 each at an online distributor if you bought a min. of 100. if your interested email me me and i'll send you the link.
