Steering problems
 

I just got a Generation 1 Toyota supra xmods and being the kind of person how can’t leave it stock, I did a hole bunch of up-grades, body kit, lighting kits, stage 4 motor, metal bearings, all wheel drive kit, and last steering and suspension . OK back to my question when I turn it to the right it will not go as fare as when I turn in to the left. can anybody HELP!!! ??????

near the front of ur controler on the top there is 2 rounded buttons. those r ur steering trim. this adjusts wether it goes straight or not. they also control how far each wheel turns.
what u want to do is get something to prop ur chassis on so the wheels hang off. then turn on ur xmod and the controler. there is an L and an R above each button. the L is Left. the R is Right. put the xmod on the block and adjust the ST. TRIM until the wheels both go straight. then put it back on the ground and turn a few times.

if that doesn't work then on the back of the controler is the steering range. it is generally used for how far u can be from ur RC car. on the xmods it is used for how sharp a corner to be taken. really sharp turns u want it on max. for shallow turns u want it on min. try playing with this until it turns the same for both directions.

the trim could be the problem but i had this problem on my evo. it tured out that an almst micro scopic pebbel was loged in the gears of the stearing servo. so if adjustmenting the trim dosnt help u might want to check out the gears in the servo.

Your servo might need to be centered. Make sure nothing is binding in that direction. You can search how to center the servo.

Thanks of the advice musclecars4life, and keith92 I adjust the trim and it did help a little. I may take the servo a part to see if that is main problem.:) :) :o :o :o

Sorry, last night I was a bit busy.

To center the servo, first take the front wheels, towers, knuckles, and the tie rod off. This should give you access to the front screw on the servo.

Take the arm off of the servo by removing the front screw. You know how the wheels twitch every time you turn the car on? This is the servo making a move to center itself.

Turn the car on and off until the servo stops moving at all, this will be center. Now screw the arm back on and assemble the car back together.

Sometimes adjusting the trim completely in one direction is not enough, that is when this is necessary.

i just got a skyline from my friend. however it doesnt turn. it doesnt even do the thing where it moves the wheels when you turn it on. he said it was working earlier that day. so i dont know what happened between then and when i got it. any advice?

ok i know that it is something with the servo. the servo motor spins when its out but strugles when its back in the box. it doesnt even trie when i steer but will fight back if you manually move it.
