Zzultimate's AWD ZipZap Buildup
I'll start with a few pics. Pretty self-explanitory. The plan is to make an awd zipzap with the same demensions of the stock zz, and all fit under a zz shell.
I'm not actually using the zz chassis. It's for referance. You can see some u-joints and, a drive shaft, and slot car gears. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...cture016-1.jpg The almost compleated rear end(still same wheel base as regular zz) Drive shaft, and started front end. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Picture018.jpg Also going with the awd zz, is a custom truck body. A project in itself. I've started putting in a bed allready. Yet to come is a lightbar, brushgard, and a new paint job. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Picture020.jpg Update on the axles. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Picture022.jpg |
Looks like you are making progress there! What chassis are you using there? Keep it up!

Plastic.

I'm leaning towards using aluminum but I'm mocking it up in plastic for ease right now.
Your making good progress, much better than me but then work has been keeping me very busy/tired. |
I really don't like the tiny controller of the zzse, so I made a new one out of a ssmt controller. I found it really easy, because I could use the same places where the ss board and componets were, to put the zzse's on.
I relocated the antenna, and used the same battery compartment. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Picture033.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Picture034.jpg |
