grease vs. graphite
what are the most important parts to grease/oil
and whats better for the parts graphit or grease? |
LOL you know my first thread was about Lubricant. Except I used light vegetable oil but it was only bad if you put on to much on the gears. I dont do it much now.
graphite it the way to go no extra dust
what is the difference between graphite and grease?
greese is greese it gets every where and its a pain to graphite is a super dry lube its grinded up lead basicilly
so if its basically lead then how is it better than grease? wont it jam up the gears?
c the graphite will still be there a lot longer than the greese but u do put more on it when u do use it
ok so where do you get the graphite?
any autoparts store or walmart or if u have some spare wooden pencils just get a knife and the black or gray paart o the pencil scrap it off and you have graphite
ok thanx dude you answered my next question too, 'how do you make it'. thanx dude
if u simply scrape off graphite from a pencil it wont be as hi quality as if u get it from a store or company.my dad gets it from work and just the tiny amoutn that leaked out of the jar made it hard to hold on to.its an extremely good lube for most applications. graphite shaving will provide lubrication but not as much as finely ground store bought graphite.
YES that is very true
so if i wanted store grade graphite would i got to my local hobby shops? if they dont have it where would you recomend me to go to buy the graphite?
