Ok why is it that people seem to want to make racing diorams and not just tracks? What is wrong with a simple track? Why do soem of you feel the need to add garages and people and pit space, etc? The track I am building is simply bare bones brings what ya got racing.

just wait... Soon, I hope to have a full scale model of Laguna Seca Raceway. Just the track part, including a pit lane. I'm not sure any TinyRC has the ability to travel the 181 feet that would be equal to laguna seca's 2.2 mile course length on a 1:64 scale.

Oh well.

Converting a 1/4 mile drag strip to 1/64 scale
 

Speaking of building tracks, I want to build a 1/64 scale 1/4-mile drag strip for my dad and I to race on. He's really into NHRA and I want to build as authentic a replica as possible (inlcuding a working light tree).
I need some help of figuring out the conversion to scale though. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Let's see, Quarter Mile= 1320 feet, or 15,840 inches.
15,840 inches divided by 64 (1/64th scale) = 247.5 inches
or 20.625 feet.:D

As far as my Laguna Seca replica goes, I don't want it to be a flat track SHAPED like it, I want it to be topographically to scale as well. That brings other problems into the mix, like can a Zip Zap climb up a slight incline before the corkscrew? :D

This will be a project and a half.
