New to Tiny R/C, not to R/C
I spent the large portion of my childhood racing Associated R/C cars like the RC10, RC10T and RC10GT.
I saw the tiny NASCAR in Radio Shack and now im hooked.... one of the guys at work has the Zap Toys Mini..... What I would like to know, what cars am I missing out on that are better than the above mentioned....? Where I work be has lots of downtime and I work anywhere from 10 - 14 hours so we were talking about setting up some little races..... anyways, here I am. Whats up yall |
I would suggest an Xmod or a Kyosho Mini-z. Xmods retail for about $60 they are 1/28 scale and pretty fun for starters. Now for the Kyosho Mini-Z they retail for any where from $90 to $150 they are also 1/28 scale theese are much better than Xmods because they turn tighter have a Hobby shop grade Transmitter and are faster. For Hop Up parts they both have many of them and a fully hopped up Mini-Z or Xmod could exceed $350.
Xmod Link Mini-Z Link The picture is blurry but u can still see both of my Mini-Z's The black car is a Mini-Z MR-01 and the truck is a Mini-Z Monster. http://image.rcuniverse.com/gallery/...s/lg-43243.jpg One suggestion for a race track would be an RCP track RCP Track Link And if 1/28 scale is to small for your liking check out the 1/18 scale. Heres a pic of my Team Losi Mini-LST http://image.rcuniverse.com/gallery/...s/lg-36271.jpg |
