Front And Back Lights

Buy that upgrade for the slot car from toys r us and then unscrew the lighting system for the slot car. Then slam it in the body of your zipzap. Blue and White wires are for the front and red and black are for the back. Still trying to find a battery to fit inside my rc car. If anyone has found a battery to fit in the car then reply

thx:D :D :D :D

I need more thoughts on the battery i should use

Or you could use the LED's out of a ZZ-SE body, get a little creative about mounting, install a quick connection wired to the battery, and throw in a switch for good measure...

Snake Mod 01-20-2006 03:48 PM

Yeah but the thing is that the lights are on a separate pcb and it's really easy to hookup i've already asked a couple friends if it's a good idea and they said it's very original. Plus I can make it so the back only goes on or the front or both! I just need a button cell (like a hearing aid only wider, flatter)but both polarities must be on the same side. I don't really want to use the r/c battery for the lights, a separate one would make same play time while not wasting the r/c cars' battery:D :D :D

Could i get a pic of the light mechanism of the ZZ-SE's if possible:)

buffalo beans 02-20-2006 04:05 PM

hey snake mod I dont think the button cell is going to have enough power to light them all up at the same time they only hold 3.6 volts you will need a transistor or something like that to evenly distribute the power to the three parts on the board to make it to work

yeah that is really original using the slot car lighting piece it would be to easy if you used the zip zap SE lighting components I hope you can make this work when you are done let me see it put some pics up and show what you have done
:) :) :) :) :) :)

kepping everybody updated i'm gonna add a switch i took out of an old r/c car.

Snake Mod 03-28-2006 10:55 PM

Update: there's 6 copper threads in 1 wire so i divided the threads in half and gonna attach them on each side of the 2 metal stripes.

instead of the resistor on the 2 metal stripes

I know this is an old thread, but could someone post a link to these light kits? I've looked on the Toys-R-Us website, but don't see the light upgrade refered to here.

Snake Mod 05-16-2006 03:57 PM

Hey azimov, I know the Lighting kits are for Superslicks but I thought I'd use it for a Motorworks so?... It's great

To answer your question about the you probably have to options:

1) the lighting kit isn't only a lighting kit, try typing Superslicks 30,000 R.P.M or Merecedes Body or something like that.

2) They no longer sell them anymore because I got mine for $1.00 here in Utah. You might find them somewhere else though.:(

Ahhh, that's my life in a nutshell. A day late and a dollar short, lol. Oh well, thanks for the reply. I just thought they would be good modding fodder to have lyin around.
