zipzap SE with monster truck motor
 

I want to put one of the Radioshack Monster truck motors in my Zipzap SE. I wondered if anyone has ever done this, or if anyone had any advice. I just don't want to dremel out the chassy to find out it doesn't work. I want to suprise my racin' buddies:D :D

The RPMs on the larger motors are much lower, so your car would not likely go any faster unless you removed one of the transmission gears from the equation. Even then, you'd likely end up frying the electronics unless you had a FET mod, and the battery would be dead in about two minutes.

I don't think I'd do a monster motor to an SE unless I wanted to run Bit Racer (Kit Racer) gearing. 3:1 or 4:1 ratios.
