a TRUELY modded Super Slick...

Okay guys, this is how it's done. I still to set up the front end and do the steering and front links.

It's getting a Mini-T trans, locked, as a center diff. Airtronics ES-01 mini ESC, Lipo battery, Airtronics micro receiver and micro servo.

The links are temporary, they will be custom machined, along with new side plates, in a few weeks when I get my mill and lathe in.

I am changing the body to a quad cab truck so it's a little longer. The tires are custom cast and extremely soft and grippy.

Enjoy, and you can see more of it's build-up in the "mini truckin'" section of my site www.offroad-rc.com

Are you sure the axles are going to handle a 300 size (or whatever) Mini-T motor?

You're putting a lot of load on the axles just by adding bigger tyres and the extra weight of the 1/24 body and Mini-T trans. TRU added a slipper and slipping wheel mounts which to me says they are marginal with stock power.

I'm also building a full custom crawler, in 1/32 scale powered by an Epoch motor and Lipo, which is probably about the limit provided you're reasonably careful.

They again, Xmods seem to handle quite a lot of punishment with simular sized UJ's so I could be wrong. I think the perpose of the wheel slippers is actually to protect the UJ is the event of one wheel being twisted while working on the truck.
