charging a quad cell
I'm about to put 2 SE batts into my monster (a total of 4.8V), and I was wondering how many AAAs I should use in a stand alone charger. 8 sounds like a little too much to me. Will the PCB stand it?
BTW does anyone know where I can get iwaver 04 boards, other than at toyeast? I can't find them there. And if I get one, will I have to put in a new steering servo? |
Those are all questions I've been getting to. I've jumped in head first on building this sweet 4/4/4 chassis but am not experienced on all the electronic know-how. I am attempting to build a gear box for the power train to mesh with the gear on axle opposite of the existing drive-train supplying room for
both steering swing arms, that I want to power via a servo from a s.e.. I've found that you can cut that out and mount it right in there, replacing some gears on the pinions along the way, and it looks to work out quite nice. The more I sift the forums the more I find out I have my work cut out for me on pulling together the truck I want. I want to have it so I can run it fully propo. all wheel drive and steering, with easy access to change gears and motor. I want to do half-pipe tricks in my bathtub. I went to check iwaver.com and their site is down for changes or sumthin'. any helpful hints? |
Well,
you should actually use a dc charger Shane |
