towerhobbies

i just ordered my microsizer pro evolution from towerhobbies, the speed sport set, and shipping for all under 17 bucks. the speed sport set was only $2.49 and the car was $9.99. not a bad deal i think. and i had a $15 dollar gift certificated so i payed like less then 2 bucks. is tower gonna stop selling these things or are they gonna stop making them? alotta microsizers stuff was dicountinued. also, does the speed sport chasis have the turbo blaster or whatever thing? is the 3.0 motor alot better then the 2.6? on the microsizers website they have that speed chart and it said that with the same gears the 2.6 is faster than the 3.0. thanks. later

I am waiting to see if Hobbico will release some new stuff. They do have the Lambo and Ferrari Collector Sets, as well as the Microcycles. I think in the past they dumped a good deal into those football helmets.

Loganberry 01-26-2005 05:52 PM

yeah i guess store has these things for sale. the lambo and ferrai things are cool, but a lotta money. do they have a lotta hop-ups anyway? i also heard that the pro's are very slow. this true? hope not. i hope it'll be faster then my old zzse. i woulda waited too if i didnt have the girft certificate. maybe they're coming out with a porportial car or something. well later

The booster should beat the old zzse. A lot of stores aren't selling the microsizers products anymore.

As far as new stuff from Hobbico, it's always the same transition from Japan to Europe then finally US. The pullbacks will probably be next. The newest additions to Europe's Microsizers are the 6tech wheel and tire kit. The wheel kit has the gold 5-star front and rear wheels while the tire kit supposedly has softer tires than what's on a stock bit (they are also wider and larger in diameter).

I hope things start picking up but it doesn't look good. Bit char-g's aren't even on the japanese tomy website anymore.

the wheel kit sounds cool. i wish it didnt take so long for the products to come over here. i like the pull backs bodies, which i guess fit on these cars. but i dont care for the actual pull back part. later.

edit: just got it. its cool. i dont care for the turbo feature though. its hard to control with the turbo, turn, and hold the throttle down sometimes. lot faster with turbo than zzse. but i wanna try out the 3rd generation zzse cause i guess its a lot better than the orginal zzse. the speed set chasis doesnt work with my controler anyway. but i'll just use it for parts anyway. later

I'd like to see the pullbacks sold in the U.S. myself (even though I got mine from the shop here). I got the pullback Jota bit charG and I like the chassis. Some have done mods with the wheelsets off of them, but me I like them for a display chassis for bodies that I don't want to knock around.

bdnunchaku 02-01-2005 02:51 AM

I did see an orange 350z Microsizers Pro set at Target. That body is listed in the Europe site, microsizers.de, as a pullback. Maybe microsizers has already introduced new bodies without updating their US website.

Loganberry 02-01-2005 05:53 PM

350z. i love them cars. yeah they have update their site more. any other new ones? later

bdnunchaku 02-02-2005 12:34 AM

Only one other, the black NSX. That's pretty much it. I hate to say it, but standard bits seem to be passing like a fad. To me it looks like only zipzaps are keeping this hobby alive.

Loganberry 02-02-2005 05:36 PM

i also like the nsx alot too. with the new zzse outs, i wouldnt of bought my microsizer if i had to pay for it. i m sure its faster than the zzse, but i guess the 3rd generation zzse handles awesome. i like my microsizer, not trying to ditch it, but it seems zz and zzse have more to offer. just my thoughts. later

Oh. I thought the speed sport set was the single speed car without a controller.
