Has anyone seen a Miata bit body?
Either version of the car -- early w/ pop-up lights or later w/ fixed head lights? Thanks.
|
Nope, no Miatas...And at this time no intentions of coming out with it either.
Sorry bud. |
I've seen one. It was a custom, but pretty convincing. If you want to make one, start with the RX-7 body.

the guy known as "Priceman" at the ************* forums has a custom miata....it was made from a RX7......
|
Now there's an idea! But does the RX have wing-windows like the Miata? Maybe I could sacrifice one of my HotWheels and custom make one myself? I've been thinking about trying that w/ a Mini too!

Well, he made it a convertable so the only window he used was the windshield. That one looks fine. The wing is an RX-7 wing so it won't look the same. You can either fill in the holes, or create a custom wing with plasti-bond.
Also, you can round out the sides using plasti-bond as well. I think you can find plasti-bond at any hardware store. It's used for capping pipes, I think. Epoxy putty is used the same way. Interesting how that other forum is censored. |

im guessing its pretty easy to make a Miata out of an rx7...except for the rear...you would probably have to chop off the front undersweep though
heh i tried to make a 240sx out of an rx7...but didnt look too good in the rear..since they have similar lights... although i could have made some euro lights on it, and call it a 240 :D |
