does anyone know if I can purchase a new metal heat sink from radioshack?

i do not think you can, you can find them on some sites for about 5 bucks though, help?

worste comes to worste you might be able to get a hold of a heat sink that is used on a video card or system memory and just cut it down to what you need.

But if I don't have it, then won't the motor burn out alot faster?

It takes quite a while for a motor to "burn out" on normal conditions...

RS sells heatsinks over in the DIY and electrical components section. Not a direct bolt on but it's still good.

all the heat sink does s add weight. you can hook those motors up to a 9 volt for 10 min and it will still run good.:D
