as you could see there some ways to improve onthis one would be to add two guides for the pin to run allowing it not to spin left and rigth as well as a bottom would probably help secure things.

i use a universal 300mah adapter from radiocrack all my ZZ's

Thats a nice charger there driver, My bros is similar. Btw, how many volts is the charger?

i use a RS universal for charging...i recommend that you dont charge the car at more than 4.5v. and DONT run more than 3v into the controller or you will be down a controller. Bottom line the controller blows above 3v just dont do it take my advice or take my box of fried controllers! . the mah doesnt matter just changes charge time. actually if i were to recommend something buy the ??volt that you need for that specific job, i found out the hard way switching down on my universaal. they also fit in the case mine doesnt

nice charger... I miss having a stand-alone charger for my micros... I really like having fresh batteries in the transmitter and having the power drained for the car just isn't that suitable when you want to get the best performance and range.

I guess you use the charging pad from a original ZipZaps transmitter. Does the ZipZaps SE fit on your charger as well?

no. the cars use two different charging station setups, i beleive there is a ground in the se's pad, they could work as you dont need the ground to charge but the cars dont fit each others charge station. i have made an se station as well, and just ran the + and - wires to there respective spots and it works fine.

I guess I should start building my charging pad for the SE then. Will build one for the Bit Char-G as well.

Hopefully you can help me out. I have an unanswered post titled "Charger Modification" in this forum.

What I'm trying to do is run power into my controller from a battery holder filled with rechargeable NiMH AA cells. I read that you don't recommend charging the car at more than 4.5V, and you've fried controllers running more than 3V into them. I am grateful for this forum and your presence, since it has saved me from ruining a controller. However, I don't have my ZipZap gear yet; so I can't look at the circuitry. Why does the controller fry over 3V? When left in stock configuration it is running on 4 AAA cells, and that's as high as 6.4V with fresh alkalines. Does the stock circuitry rely on the internal resistance of the AAAs to protect itself from drawing too much current? I've also read on a ZipZap forum, (not sure if it was this one), about a 9V conversion for the controller/charger to facilitate charging of dual or tri-cell cars. Has anyone done this?
