drifting
i am thinking of buying the bitchg auto modellista set and also these parts.
3.8 motor tyre set suspension set nimh bat but with the suspension set you get drift axles i was just wondering are the axles any good and will they be good with the auto m set |
The drift axles are really not that good. I would just get a regular set or maybe a pro set not auto modelista. Save the extra money for parts. I would definately get springs. Get as many different tires as you can. Make sure you get a gear set. Also, I would get probably about 3 different motors to see which ones give you the best feel. Remember it is not also the fastest. Also, if you are going to be getting a 2 speed car I think torque is the most important. About the battery, I wouldn't worry about that either. Oh, one last thing, most people say you can't do a real drift in these cars.

i got springs
i can get the auto modellista set for aus$60 which is like $45 american and nimh batteries any good or do they wreck the car |
nimh batteries are great at least the 200Mah ones are good, I got those in my bits, oh and where do Ya'll get drift axle's and suspension/springs from? Thanks,
Oh You really can't drift in the cars because in real cars motors are in the front, then in the back there are limited slip diff's, so idk it might work some what. |
You can do real drifts in these. They are real wheel drive and I do drifts all the time.
My setup: Hard front MS tires Soft rear MS tires (if you have too much rear slide use mediums instead) 9.86:1 gearing (orange) 3.0 motor MS Pro chassis or regular Bit Char-G chassis It works great. If I use the Pro I pretty much need to use the mediums in the rear but with regular you need the softs. (I am not sure if this setup works with Bit tires. I have only used the MS tires) Good luck and have fun. |
Flip the body around and u can drift ;)
|
I think he wants to "really" drift rather than go SuperSlicks style...
|
me and frizzen were just talking about going 4wd... the hardest parts are the steering has to be flipped, and it needs like mini half dog bones for the front drive... the rest i think is easy! but 4wd would be a sweet drifter, put hards on all fours, and go driftin... and never spin!!
|
Well if u do go 4wd,
Id be happy to pay you to make me a 4wd bit.serious man that would be wicked 4wd no spinning out, considerably faster , better handling, Ooohh the possibilities :D  :D |
that idea is almost as non sensible as my rotary idea. It is cool but it would be insanely hard and wouldn't really be that beneficial unless you drive on really dusty surfaces.
|
the only thing i think might be hard is the half shaft cv set up, aside from that a new chassis needs to be constructed, new steering set up, everything else is a breeze. im not saying im gonna do it any time soon, i have enough projects going, one of which has got me away from bits for a while, never woulda thought... but coil guns are just so fun!!
