BC's Custom 350Z

I finally got back to painting an Xmod, this time my new 350Z. I also did some custom work to the body kit. I added the mild body kit, but shaved off the bulky side flares, and shaved some of the front and rear air dams. I then slapped a custom paint job on her. It's a very subtle tribal style flame on the sides and the hood.

err i want a 350z body now, thanks alot their goes 40 bux... that paint is sick! were the flames and graphics painted on, or water slide? also what color is that exactly, would make a great candy base!

Thanks!

Everything was painted with rattle cans. ;) I used Tamiya Gun Metal for the flames and Light Gun Metal for the rest. Basically all I did was paint the body the color the flames were gonna be, then applied the masking in the shape of the flames, and then painted it the color of the rest. Finally removed the masking to reveal the flames and applied clear gloss.

Thanks guys!:D I do lay down a thin coat of primer to give the paint something better to stick to. It also lets me see any imperfections that need sanding.

newbitowner 07-29-2004 12:27 AM

do you also paint the suspension?

dietryin 07-29-2004 09:43 AM

wow.. i cant get enough of it.. the stock rims painted black would also look nice BC..

and i just went to radioshack and bought 3 bodies, 1 black civic and two red supras, the two supras were complete cars.

so today i will be painting the supra metallic blue with a silver undercoat to bring out the color..

thanks BC.. im painting then your way
