gap between tie rod and servo horn

seeing the thread about the pvc wheels has sparked my interest in xmods again, sadly the steering is still crazy uneven. i saw the thread about adjusitng the accual controler, i did that yet am still having the same problem. after further tinkering i can see that there is a slight play in the steering becuase the tie rod is not snug with the horn. question is, how do you fix this? how can the rod/horn be modified so they stick together better?

i noticed the same thing... it bugs me... but another mod that could reduce steering play, you could try taping the tie rod ends so they fit snug in the knuckles. not too much or your steering may get stuck. no ideas for the horn...

yea i remember seeing the thread about putting teflon tape on the tie rod ends, i did that. it did take out some of the wobbling. i also put some around the horn, again it took out some movement. but sadly my steering is still uneven...

uneven? have you checked if suspension is even? crooked arms, uneven springs, unevenly worn tires, it could be your rear end too... many xmods have uneven backends
