Xmod Monster Tires Tutorial
1 Attachment(s)
OK I saw The XMODSTER at the XMODRC.com forums and saw he was lucky enough to have Monster tires where the inner rim fit almost perfectly on an xmod rim. :( Well, we're all not that lucky so with some stuff i found under my bed and quick trip to my LHS I was able to make xmod monster Tires.
Supplies 1. Xmod rims or foam tire rims 2. Mini-T pre-glued Tires 3. 2 diferent lego wheals you'll see in the pics 4. SUPER GLUE 5. Drill or needle nos pliers and knife if the only thing you care about is if it works |

Now that you've gathered up all the supplies. Take lego wheel that you saw in the above picture that is not all ready on the foam tire rim inside the rim of the mini-t tire.

OK whoops for got to say to drill out the stuff in the center of the rim so you can fit xmod tire wrenches through. now place the xmod rim with the other lego tire on it and liberally apply SUPER GLUE. and install.
Note: you'll need to find a new home for your batteries! |

|
I haven't actually finished the car completely and probably won't completely finish for a while but i should be able to get it working within the week. Here's a link to one that is already working if you wanna get an idea of how my finished car will look.

When i saw your truck i literally started to cry.It was so........... there is just no word to describe it's beauty. It has ensired me to bring back my truck, his name was Dead Alice (no I'm not kidding it really was,my dad named him).I have a few questions for though. 1.) Where did you get or how did you make your custom driveshaft with metal tips? 2.) Do you need upgraded FETs to get good performance? 3.) If you don't need upgraded FET's,do you need to have a 180 sized motor?
Do you think you could tell me the kind of performance I would get from stock FET's and a 130 sized motor? And could you tell me what the best 130 sized motor I can get and where i can get it? Thank you so much for inspiring me to bring him back.He was an odd truck. He was a 1987 candy apple red Volkswagon Golf GTO, with huge Oil Lamp truck tires, he only had 2WD but this was because I didnt know how to make wooden driveshafts, but know he will have 4WD. I will post a picture when I'm done. OMGosh  I just happened to think my car will have wood! LMFAO !!:p :D |
