Help Me Plz!!!!

PLz if some one could help me with this problem.
My steering string was some how bent out of shape and is not useable. Now my bit charg is a piece of junk. I bought it only a week ago. well anyways ive read through all the forums i can think of on how to fix this problem and i cant seem to find a way. Ive tried the guitar string, a wire, my viola "a" string, and even a paper clip. Iono if it's that these methods dont work well or that im doing something wrong.....

If someone could provide a detailed description on how to replace the spring or where to buy the spring, im sure it would be very helpful to me and anybody else there in this unfortunate situation

Yep.. Use a toothpick or a small screwdriver. Give it a double rap around and then cut it to the length it needs to be.... When you get it working to your liking, take the screwdriver and heat it up and melt the top of the post to keep the spring from coming off in the future.. Hope this helps.
