PLEASE HELP!!! I think my xmod blew up
 
My Xmod was just sitting on the table with the batteries in but turned off and smoke stated coming out the front so I ran over and got the batteries.
It wasd not even hot so I dont no what is wrong. please help I dont know if my mom will buy me a new one

i think you fried your range... your antenna wire or something touched a battery contact maybe. try checking out your range and if it is really short then you now have short range which sucks.

then you can join the "short range club" i am a premier member.... fried like 2 cars.

oh btw, try searching for "extened range" on these forums, it might help you with your problems...if it is a range issue

i must be the president of the "short range club" 4 cars with fried inductors.

2 that i still have with jammed steering.

yeah I have 3xmods and one has jammed steering and one with short range

For 12 bucks, buy yourself a board/recevier combo from RS. Refer to CJ's xmod parts list, and it should be pcb/recevier assembly, or something like that. It's 12 bucks with shipping.

Yeah it does suck.But i did fix it and it goes a little bit farther then it did before.Now all my xmods work.

I dismantled my Xmod about a month ago and the same thing happened to me. I heard a soft hissing noise and a little bit of smoke came out of the ESC, so I just took out the batterys.
