sport auto modellistas or pros

whats really the differnce betwee the 3? i know the sport doesnt have the turbo button but is that that good? i also know that the sport comes with a 1.6 motor too. id get the 3.0 motor anyway. also can u leave your car in the turbo mode? is it like another gear or is it like just a bit of more power for a little while? thanks

Turbo function- when the turbo button is not pressed down, the car travels at ~1/2 speed. When you press the turbo button (it is a return switch, so you have to hold it) the car goes normal speed. The turbo function is good for track racing, because you can slow down for cornering by releasing the turbo button, and speed up on the straights. I like the turbo function, because it helps to keep my car from flipping when using high speed motors, but other people have different opinions, and I know a few people here don't like the turbo.

Now, to the other question:

Sport-non-turbo chassis; translucent body; 1.6 motor

Pro-Turbo function; 2 bodies-one painted, one clear; 2.2 motor

Auto Modellista- same as Pro, but with 4 painted bodies

thanks. should i get a zz or microsizer? i had a zzse with no hop ups, but then the thing overheated when i put to many volts to the thing. it weighed a lot and i guess people like the original better.

I would go on ebay or toyeast and get a bit , instead of a zz or ms.
ms has very poor warranty service , I bought a bad one 3 months ago and still no answer from them , I have emailed , called and written , and they are expensive.$19.99-$30.00

zz are cool with great warranty service{ just take it back to radio shack tell them what it is not doing and tell them you got it for a gift last week and they will give you another one}.but they are also expensive$19.99-24.99

BITS can be had for half the price of the other two , warranty is almost non existant , but I have never had a defective bit and I own alot of them.$5.00-$39.95

I would rate them in this order
#1 bit char g

#2 zip zap

#3 microsizers

Filelicker pretty much hit the nail on the head, except, I'd say Zip Zaps beat them all in quality, and because RS is on practically on every street corner, they are readily availble, and easy to get replaced if defective, but with all the deals out there, they are more expensive, it seems.

Search around the net, you can find Microsizers, and Bit Char-Gs on clearance for like $10 alot of the time, that's how I built up my collection.

Also check into clones like Panthers, Shen Qi Wi, or Precious. These have all got excellent reviews in the past, and can be had for 5-10 dollars nowdays.

And there's always Toyeast. You'll pay extra for the shipping from china, but the Perfection cars have got good reviews, and have the features the people on the forums been asking for, like 5 minute charge times, and 20 minute run times, switchable frequencies on the controller, unique bodies like the VW bus, a fast motor, and other goodies I don't care about like colored tires, all for under 10 bucks. I just ordered a VW Bus, and 6 motors, and it came to $31 after shipping. So I think that's still a pretty good deal, even after the $12 shipping.

The Super Perfection cars do not have switchable frequencies on the controller. The controller is virtually the same as the Super Bits, but TE has changed the A-B-C frequency selector on back to allow switching between one speed and two speed operation.

I'm returning two Super Perfection sets I just received. Disappointed in the quality, especially the paint and the fitting of the lights. I'm going to stick with Tomy cars for now. YMMV

I have 3 of the Super Perfection, one was/is defective out of the box the other 2 run great. They are a big improvment over the orginal LXX clones.Overall, I prefer them over the Super BITs because they give you 2 speeds and are at leat as fast.

The Tomy Super BIT s have been a disappointment to me. Even though they came out almost a year ago, they still seem to have trouble with controller response. I mean these things keep accelerating after you take your finger off the accerlerator on the controller. The problem gets real bad when you install a hop up motor like 3.8, 4.2 etc.... in them. Has anybody else experience this problem and if so do you have a solution ?

yeah i had a super perfection car and it sucked. my zzse was ok, but i think it weighed way to much. what do u think would be funner for i pretty big kicten floor, a zz or a superslick? thanks

crazydave 05-10-2004 09:45 PM

Yeah, Perfection can be like playing the lottery, I guess I've just been lucky.

i waqs just wondering if you get charged for long distance to go on toyeast. i got charged 20 bucks for going on some site in england, so i could imagine what it costs for china. my dad wont let me order anything over the computer cause he thinks somethings gonna happen. i just wanted to see what they had. thanks. later

filelicker 05-11-2004 04:49 PM

I have never been charged to go on any website .
toyeast is a regular public site , just like this one is.

Loganberry 05-11-2004 04:52 PM

thanks. some sites are based across the world so they charge long distance.

Loganberry 05-11-2004 08:04 PM

i noticed on the towerhobbies web site they said not to use the 3.0 motor on a sport microsizer. why? also is there a weight difference between the pros and sports? thanks

What are you talking about? That's sorta the whole point of the internet is that electrons coming from China are the same as electrons coming from Los Angeles. Some sites charge for content (porn, news, etc.) but I've never heard of a website that is selling stuff charge you to see their page.

Loganberry 05-16-2004 09:41 AM

if it was for content why on the phone bill did it say long distance from the internet? ud think they would call it something different.
