Xmod servos use Bit motors!!!

Well, curiosity got the best of me and I took a part a servo. I found a bit motor inside. So what? Well this means that we can change the speed of steering, or torque it up if you have big wheels!

yeah...
been known for a LONG time now...
it can be sen w/o taking aprt the servo too...

actually they use ZZ motors with a different endbell. unless the Bit motors have the wires coming out of the endbell im right.

bit/ zip/ perfection... w/e same size= same type of motor...
i think they're using a 2.2 0r a 2.6 motor in the XMods servo.

What if I put a Phast motor in it? Maybe a 4.2? Would it steer faster? Or a 1.0?

aperson 05-02-2004 07:02 PM

if ??? volts = ??? speed
then same ??? volts = more than ??? speed
right? maybe we could get more travel out of them. but then wouldnt we have to mod the potentiometer?

viperdout 05-02-2004 08:29 PM

I dunno, but this could make for some better handling.

aperson 05-02-2004 08:41 PM

next thing you know we'll need an external fet mod for the servo. lol

SHIFT_DRIFT 05-02-2004 08:43 PM

there is a FET mod for the servo though...
not external though it is possible.
