I have a new driveshaft idea
 

Well, I was thinking while looking at my driveshaft today (installing bearings), and I thought "why can't I put this bugger on a metal lathe and swiss cheese it?" I only run RWD, so I'm wondering if it's safe, or am I gonna be buying a cf driveshaft after I try this?

u mean like cut 3/4's of it off?
yeah its been done.
u cant use AWD with it though.

No, Swiss cheeseing it, I.E., drilling holes in it.
