Mega-x (big block) NML motor

Does anybody own this motor? I just got this motor yesterday and an FET upgrade at NML's site, but was wondering if the motor could run w/o the FET upgrade. Thanx (btw im new).

no1's crazy enough to buy it.
too damn expensive.
it cannot run w/o FETs.
