Tire Usage?
 

whats the best for rough, short pile carpet? soft/hard/tread/slick

I would say something with a little tread would really get some grip, but you can live with hard or soft tires. Soft might pick up a lot of dirt though.

I would say foams.

The carpet in my apartment kinda fits that description, and on my carpet, the foam tires provide the most grip. That does not necessarily mean they work the best, though, because with more grip, the car tends to roll over more often.

The hotel I stay at when I'm out of town for work has lowpile carpet. When I bring my Xmod and run it around, I can get it to flip with the soft tread tires, unfortunately(or fotunately?) I don't have foamies...
