Tech TV's Invent This

For those of you that get Tech TV, and watch Invent This, i saw this guy that made his own batteries that are supposed to last "forever" did anyone else catch this. if they do last we might try them in these.

I don't have cable, but...is he talking about lithium (not lithium-ion) batteries? Of course batteries can't last forever (unless maybe they were nuclear reactors :p ), but lithium batteries are much better than lithium-ion...except that they react with an explosion if exposed to water ;).

no he used some sort of rocks that he found ouside of his house and grinded them into dust, put them in a little can and put some liquid in. it might have been water or acid of some sort.

well heres a draft what do you all think.

Hello,
I am a 15 year old radio controlled enthusiast that is looking into purchasing some of your free-energy fuel cells. I first saw you on TechTV’s Invent This. After seeing that I needed to find out how they worked. So I was wondering how they work and how much do they cost. I’m planning on using them in a radio controlled car that uses 4 AAA batteries. I will also need dimensions to see if it is possible to fit them in my car. I am writing this on behalf of the RC community. This would help us greatly in our search for the perfect battery.
Thank You

EDIT: a regular alkaline C battery puts out 1.5 volts

It's basically a perpetual motion machine. Pretty damn hard to believe.

c batterys put out as much as one aaa but it hold more energy. if this work , his batterys dat is and they are a reasonable size he should just sell them to rc'ers he would be rich

RC 2NR 03-03-2004 06:41 AM

It also depends on how many mAh it can produce.

I saw this show...This guy is "NOT" going to sell to us at all. He want's to sell to a big company. I'm not saying he dosen't have something good going on, it would be great if they would work and were smaller. I also remember that these batt's that he made were the size of a coke can.( probally weighed around 3 to 5 lbs. ) He was also having problems getting it down to a smaller size. It's going to be years for him to get his batt's to work in small things. Also I really dought that any big company would mass produce them because then they would run out of business. We would all have them one day and nobody would ever need batterys anymore.( the companys would go out of business! ) Anyhow, sorry to bust anyones bubble on this subject but we wont be seeing anything like this in our lifetime. Have fun & take care......God Bless...KnotHole...
