Finally got it!!

hey, finally got my x-mod today! So far its pretty fun, but i'm a speed freak, and im used to nitro rc so im going to have to get some stuff for it! The stage 2 motors.... do they really help alot or is there just a little difference? Also, what about 6 cells, how much does that do? I also plan on getting ball bearings, ic3's, the awd moduel, and the suspension upgrade. Over time i will most likely have everything available for these, but for the meantime, this is my have to list. Tomarrow i plan to do some body work and maybe a few home made hop ups, so ill try to get you some pics soon, c ya.

6 cells is makes it so much stronger...try to wait for the tinyrc.com bearings. they currently have cf driveshafts for sale.

Even with the stock four cell setup, the ic3s make a huge difference over regular alkaline batts. Stage two also makes a big difference, also if your running it on a slick surface awd is the way to go.

6 cells + team orion micro elite stock motor = very fast

newbitowner 03-01-2004 07:11 PM

would any fets need to be installed with a team orion micro elite stock motor?

if not, where do i get this motor? :D

TypeZer0 03-01-2004 08:44 PM

none needed unless you modify it. i got mine at www.towerhobbies.com

newbitowner 03-01-2004 09:41 PM

any pics with motor installed?

micro kid 03-01-2004 10:36 PM

does that motor drop in or do anythings need to be changed such as plugs etc?

EDIT can a micro pinion be used or does the XMOD one get used?

WhoMe 03-02-2004 11:04 PM

If you own an RSX that motor will not fit. But itl squeeze into the rest..looks like a 180 can.

viperdout 03-06-2004 07:07 PM

I couldn't resist, an RS I was in had them on the shelf! I know I'm gonna kick myself later on...

Back to topic, they're pretty fast for the price. The only thing that betters the speed to price ratio is a microsizer or a zz. Well, congrats on your new purchase and have fun. BTW, what kind of nitro car?

Metallica88 03-07-2004 10:07 PM

Its a t-maxx 2.5. I love the thing, but being only 13 i have no where near the money to keep it running, wayyyyy expensive for me lol. Nitro is 25 bucks a gallon, plus everything that breaks, it all adds up to a nice number. But when it is running, man is that thing fun!

viperdout 03-07-2004 10:30 PM

I want the Nitro 4-Tec. That thing is wicked!
