Interesting new car
Anyone have one? Probably slow, but hopefully an extra battery/lipoly can speed these things up. They're 1/55 scale. Ebay
These also appear to be new. I've never seen them before. Speed Racer 1/64 http://www.atomicgifts.com/ebay/bole...es-silver2.jpg http://www.atomicgifts.com/ebay/speedRacer_miniRC2.jpg |
Just got them a few days ago. Since I didn't hear from anyone, thought I'd buy them and give a review. Welp....these SUCK!!!!! The speedracer doesn't get any range which amazed me cos' the remote fits 3aa's. I thought that would be the least of my worries. The car that is 1/55 are GREAT LOOKING cars. They're die-cast, but they don't run worth a crap. Tires are hard plastic. One plus is it has dual batts from a quick look from underneath the car. Maybe even three. I'm thinking about opening it up later to see if this would be a good car to turn into my micro-t since it's a lot wider then most micros. I'll have pics later.

the body looks cool but i dont like the fact that they charge in "pods". I always watch speed race so may get the mach 5 one

That sucks..I probably woulda gotten a Speed Racer one, but nowadays I try to stay away from clones like that. They're really hit or miss, sometimes they're cool, sometimes (like in this case), they miss.

May be a collectable soon. who knows

Got the 1:55 scale r/c! Extreme Tuner by Kentoys. it has 2 batts, a bit smaller than Bit's. Motor is larger than Bits. Bodies are heavy coz they are die cast but the details are amazing. they even got license for using brand names! I got the Evo VIII kit and I bought cars (not r/c) trying to fit them into the r/c chassis (the one that came with Evo VIII) but so far, the benz and skyline bodies were a success! try replacing the wire antenna with a longer piece and route it through the rear window (drill a hole to fit the wire) and it greatly improves the range. nice collection!:D

another thing i forgot to mention, front steering is similar to Bits. Try using one of the stabs of Bit (Soft, medium, hard) and handling improves. also, try to trim off the "stopppers" at the beneath the top cover of the front steering. this will allow the steering crossmember to move up and down so the stabs will work. :D
