What could be wrong with my RSX?
Today I ran my car out in a parking lot. Check the sig for info about what my RSX has.
Well, I go home to charge the cells and run in my backyard. I went about 30 ft full throttle with the speed motor and crashed it straight into a cement post. :o I try to back it out and keep running it. I crashed this car many times before, so I didn't expect anything to go wrong, but things did go wrong. The car would not respond. I thought the 2 extra cells or any other cells might have lost contact, so I tilt the car every position and shook it. The motor gets power when I tilt the car downwards. I then run the car around my backyard and it stops responding a couple times. I then take it into my house. Now the car stinks, it smells like cigarette smoke/burnt plastic! When I turn the car on, turns FULL(all the way) left even thought the controller is OFF. The car won't even move or turn. It seems like all thw power is going to the servo and telling it to turn left? |
Well, one of the servo wires could have come loose and somehow ended up touching somewhere else in the circuit. Sounds like something shorted out somewhere.
|
shorted?! I hate shorts.
I probably can't fix a short. Anyone want a broken RSX and Supra with all stock parts? post your email address...I'll take offers if I can't fix it myself. |
what should i check?
|
I just put in some batteries to try it out again. Now the motor is getting full power, but the servo still turns full left and is not responding.
Maybe in a couple of days it I can control the turning. :p BTW, the range has also been shorter. I don't have any idea what I cold have done to short it while drving, other than that it was wet outisde. It shorted by itself. |
My L1 and L2 are chared...
Where can I get these things? http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL71/1...0/45905091.jpg http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL71/1...0/45905060.jpg |
