I have foud the perfect drift settup for my garage floor.

awd
gear in back
ball in front
hard slick back
soft slick front

but any way, the trick, puff some graphite powder on the rear tires, it works great!

I can drift almost sideways without spinning very easily and powerslide round turns like a rally car. and I have yet to spin out!:D

doesn't the graphite powder get all over the floor?

also, i take it you used the drift motor?

it only gets powder on the floor for the first few inches, but it looks like it left rubber skid marks:D other than that, it doesn't leave a mess. the motor was a s2yellow. haven't tried the drift motor yet.

oh, I forgot, the garage floor surface is very slick and smooth. impossible to drive on with rear wheel drive, but easy with awd.

a power slide is kicking ur tail around till ur side ways sliding for a small distance and STOPPING ok

I think the common definition of power sliding is when you take a turn with your rear wheels spinning/sliding so that when they catch when you get traction you a burst of power.
Works well in my '90 rwd ford ranger. In the rain you give it enough power to spin the rear tires and when you hit the straight the tires hook up and you are thrown back in the seat.

I should also add a caution to that post. Drifting/sliding in the rain is dangerous. Here is what happen last week after I entered a drift with all 4 wheels sliding on a narrow road at 1am. It was a perfect drift through an S turn but the second turn was sharper and the truck just pushed out and jumped a curb, bent 2 rims, blew 1 tire and nailed a sign causing a 2 inch deep gash in the hood. I bent the heavy steal pole and mauled the sign. The sign fell out of my truck 4 times on the way home but I got it!

ouch poor truck. thats hardcore. i dont think trucks were meant for that. sounds fun tho. until you plowed. that sucks. nice souvineir tho :D

powersliding is a form of drifting. giving enough throttle to the wheels so they lose traction and slide out. another name could be power over drift. well thats what i think.

i prefer to drift my xmod RWD with stock tires.:) i drive on my garage floor and its fine. takes a bit of skill. just gotta keep feathering the throttle.

btw. spitty where were you when this happened?

My drift setup is perfect for hardwood floors. You can just punch the throttle, spin the steering wheel, and let the car do the rest! Well, there is a little correction steering needed but it isnt that bad. Here is my perfect drift setup:

White Supra X-mod
Stage 2 drift motor
4.5 camber bar
Metal-core suspension arms
Soft red springs in front
Hard blue springs in rear
AWD kit
Hard treaded tires on all wheels
Batteries moved to rear

Try this setup, it works great!

don't think trucks were meant for drifting ???? i have a 95 nissan pickup and on dry pave ment you go around a corner and just press the gas to the floor and hold on for the funniest feeling in the world and it is great all the smoke and the funny people looking at you all weird it is cool just to drift around town i have had the experience of accidentally drifting in to a sign but no damage just to the sign now one night i just happened to be chasing a rabbit through my friends yard in my truck and there are so many pine trees in his yard it turned out to be morle like the feeling of a motocross track left right staight hard left but what happened was the rabbit went around on tree and i followed well when i did turned too hard and started sliding passenger side towards another tree well i managed to get into reverse to barely miss one tree fold the drivers side mirror back with the next tree after all that we decided it was time to gho to sleep and leave the poor rabbit alone

I'm no grammar expert don't get me wrong my grammar sucks but dont you think you should put a period in there somewhere I mean I can't understand a thing youre saying because I can't tell where one sentence stops and another one begins so please do us a favor and

I had a 90 Ranger XLT shortbed w/ Ext Cab 2WD 2.9L w/ bored out throttle body and ported dual exhausts and 5sp and that was the best damn truck ever!!! I traded it when it had 250,000 miles on it and it ran like new!!! The only bad parts about it was that the crappy Mitsubishi transmission needed a new throw-out bearing ever 50-60k miles (no other work was EVER done to it) and it was completely worthless in the rain/snow because of NO TRACTION, but alas it was a solid and dependable truck for sure!!! Now I have 4WD in My 98 Cherokee and that lil brick is unstoppable!!! (more powerful too, and it's stock (except for the K&N and Royal Purple oil))

hahah sounds like youve been having fun. i just dont think they have the weight distribution and suspension for serious drifting. but thats just me. its ur turck and i bet its fun as hell. 240sx has a truck engine too you kno ;)
