Magnets

Does it hurt a magnet to shave it a bit to fit a can? I was going to do the SB mod but then saw a brush that had a Braun motor and figured it had to be better than the crest motor. Unfortunately the Braun can is longer and so the magnets are longer. The RS armiture is too short for the Braun can and the Braun magnets are too long for the SB can. I was planning on shaving the Braun magnets to fit in the RS motor, will this hurt the magnets?

i think the Braun motors are 180 type motors, if they have the same shape as teh xmod motors but just a little longer, then their 180 motors and if you have one of the xmods that uses the longest wheelbase, you should be able to fit it in. just solder the connector and caps from an old xmod motor to it

Don't just assume that the magnets are stronger. And yeah, TypeZer0 is right, the 180's will fit in the Skyline and Supra.

Im not assuming the magnets are stronger. They are stronger, you can tell by their pull.

Ok, then use the Braun can, magnets, and armature, an RS endbell and brushes (and pinion, of course).
