I Jus Got my xmod

I jus got my White Supra Xmod two days ago and i jus used it for the first time yesterday (no batteries) and i'm bout to mod it i have an eclipse model coming in hopefully 2day and i'm thinkin bout a 6 cell upgrade.
Damn these things are pretty fast even stock.
What are some other mods you guys suggest i'm pretty good wit electronics if there is anything i dont kno i'll try to learn.:D

7 cells:D youll get horrible acceleration, but the speed is incredible

If your good at soldering, do a FET upgrade, or the regulator mod.

Six cells is a must...or at least 5 cells (what I've got).

Don't give people advice that could potentially hamrfull to there xmod!! i know that YOU have run 7 cells, but somebody else might not be able to! just a warning guys!!

Excessive battery packing is fun, sure, but you'll want to get at least the suspension upgrade and some better tires if you're going that route; no sense is spending all that time making it faster only to see it flip over and explode.
;)

with the flipped wheels mod-type-thing it never flips over. but an explosion would be cool... id gladly pay 50$ to see that.....

I'm pretty new too, and I have no problems doing difficult hobby/electronics work either.

I'm trying not to do everything all at once, to stretch out my fun :D

I'd go with the RS mods you like - I say the lights are a MUST!, maybe AWD, S1 or S2 motors, Suspension, whatever tickles your pickle.

Then try taking apart motors to do the spinbrush hybrid. - this is where I am now. Next I want to look into timing advancing and motor winding, then 180 motors. Multi cell mods seem to really mess up the weight distribution and hurt handling. A few people on here are getting good results with only 4 cells and no FET upgrades. I'm saving the FET's for last (most percieved risk of screwing up the car).

Along the way I want to try some lights mods - fogs, underbody, and maybe a full flashing police light bar that will hopefully work off the command lights.

Anyway, start small so you have something to work towards is what I say. Then become the master. Cause it's all about the fun of modding, right?

don't

Don't mix 6-cells with the lights though!!! Get IC3 batteries if you don't already have them. I'd be leary of what ppchee says too because 6-cells give you OUTSTANDING acceleration! If you could use 7-cells without blowing the Fetts, then it should only get better not worse as he stated.

Why not?

The LED's are designed to run off the car's stock 6 volts, not 9 volts.

So the LED's will wear out faster?

I ran a light kit with 6 I-C3's for about 15 mins w/o any signs of problems.

LED's

same here 6 cells, and lights....no problem...Even the 6 IC-3's are np...

It's just that I've heard of the light kit burning out with 6 cells, never with 5.
