They just started carrying a bunch of different DC motors, with several 130, 260 and 280 sizes to choose from. Most are priced in the $2.50 range or less. RPMs, torque, current draw, and operating voltage are all listed, too. :D

No 180 motors, unfortunately, but there's probably something in there that is even better, and for less money.

This is true, but I'm also looking for motors that I can rewind and make much faster. The cheaper, the better.

thats pretty cool, when you do find a candidate and rewind it, could you tell me how many winds you removed?

btw - question: a wind is a loop of wire around one of the three things in the center of the motor? (the spining part)

also how many winds did you remove from the team orion stock motor, and how much more could you take off while stillbeing able to accelerate hard

Yes, a wind is a single loop around the leg of the armature.

how big is a 260 or 280 sized motor compared to a 130 or 180?

260 is roughly the same length as a 130, but a bit bigger around. 280 seems to be a little longer than the 260, but otherwise the same width.

I removed 10 turns (per pole) on the Team Orion motor. Any more than that, and the performance starts to deteriorate.
