I recently fried mY pcb, well touched the drive shaft to it and lost all my range which brings me to the question where can i buy aftermarket electronics im pretty sure their avable because of all the talk about them on the CF thread so where can i buy em? or for that matter can i put mini z electronics in it or am i just stuck ordering a new RS pcb thanx alot

yea I was wondering the same thing and just asked in one of the CF threads. definitly need more range/better QC on these things.

yeah totally im going to go to the hobby shop monday and look fo some the have them for WWS pros and mini zs so im just going to get one of those and modify my chassis and but a new radio and ill be se hobby grade

Since this photo I’ve added a 7 cell battery pack, and a PN racing 37 turn balanced armature and carbon brushes in a Yeah racing bearing motor case with Yeah Nd-Fe-B Thin Magnets.

On a Team Orion Motor Performance Monitor at 8volts the motor turns 54,000 rpm and draws 1.09 amps.

Steering and handling is a vast improvement, however the tires must be glued on, I’ve gone through three sets already and my local Radio Shack is sold out.

The car complete with battery pack and body weighs 218 grams.

Am looding for a 15 tooth pinion gear.

sweet carbon fiber chassi! where did you get the servo from?

The servo is a HiTec HS-55 with the mounting tabs trimmed off. It or a similar sub-micro servo can be purchased from almost any RC Store on or off line. This servo has clockwise rotation so it requires a radio with servo reverse when installed like this.

Also the radio shack steering servo horn is to big to fit on this servo. If I was to build another one of these I would look for a sub-micro servo with a drive-spline that would fit the steering horn. I don't know if there is one but it would save you from having to make a custom steering horn.

I've used the HS-55 with the smaller 2 leg servo horn, clipped one leg flush. Used an 00-90 screw in the middle hole of the remaining leg and clipped off the balance. A little heat shrink on the very small screw threads and it fits perfectly into the stock tie rod.

Really like your mods and hope to have a similar "Production" chassis set-up soon.

Nope, that is an old Hitec Shredder RCVR simply shrink wrapped to lose the case weight. Wish I was that smart!!;)
