Skyline Problems

My skyline works fine when you are close to it, but if it gets 10 - 15 feet away it starts cutting out, then stops. What is wrong with it?

Thanks

IRT the distance problems you could have a bad solder connection where the antenna and wire screw together. YOu can re solder or strip and resolder it. This may help. Be careful not to short the antenna lead to the motor or batt leads which would surely decrease distance. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

I soldered a whole new wire in for the antenna, and it is still the same. Any more ideas?

It's possible that you may have already shorted it out. You can remove any of your mods and try to take it back. Just let them know that all of a sudden the range is short and hopefully they will refund your money. Make sure you have batts in it just to show them what's wrong.

Check Crystal

Check that the crystal is seated properly. I had that problem becuase I bumped the crystal causing it to loose contact and studder around the race course.

this happen to my friend with his skyline... we just soldered the whole connection

I would take it back, but I painted it. I don't think that they would take it back like that. Is it possible to buy a new board?

Is this the part I would need?
