Body problems

I just painted my car and screwed up..... what will take paint off best? and/or is anyone selling a Nissan Skyline body???

rs2000 12-31-2003 12:30 AM

anyone?

stealthboy 12-31-2003 12:33 AM

I'd say some sandpaper and some good ol' elbow grease. It worked for my cousin's skyline after we messed it up. Also, if its gunked on pretty thick, u might try some nail polish remover VERY CAREFULLY. Put some on a q-tip and wipe a small area, then dry it off. If you do use the polish be careful cuz it will fog up your plastic if its left on too long. Good luck.

Nice idea! Ty, brb, tryin it out

rs2000 12-31-2003 01:10 AM

Well, the nail polish remover didnt work too well, might sand the rest... do you think i can repaint over it?

rs2000 12-31-2003 01:11 AM

The remover actually started to show a lot of white on the car... oh well, i plan to paint it sooo, who cares

stealthboy 12-31-2003 01:18 AM

Yea, all the cars are white underneath. As long as you sand the car really evenly, you won't be able to tell anything was ever wrong with it. Also, i'd suggest doing a coat of primer, sand it down smooth, then another coat of primer, then whatever color you want. The primer should fill in any little spots you miss, then when u sand it even and go over it again with primer, you'll have a smooth body to paint on. It takes a bit of practice, but I have had it work for me. Good luck.

try to strip down the paint. u know the stuff to strip wood furnishings? might work

QPizzle 01-02-2004 03:39 PM

ahh dont use that stuff.. for the wood its very unhealthy, just get goof-off at wal-mart or something. it works very well. i just stripped my car down and its completely white. just read directions and youll have it done.
